Otumfuo shaking hands with President Michel of Seychelles whilst Hon Ofosu-Adjare looks on.
Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, was the toast of thousands of people, including top dignitaries who attended this year’s Carnival International de Victoria.
The annual carnival saw 29 countries, including Ghana and host country, Seychelles Island, being represented by their nationals who displayed their culture through music and dance.
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, was the guest of honour for the grand carnival in Victoria on Saturday which saw President James Michel of Seychelles and other dignitaries in attendance.
Each country openly displayed their traditions through music, dancing and dressing to the delight of the dignitaries and monarchs from Africa who applauded them as they marched on.
Mrs Ofosu-Adjare, dressed in rich kente cloth, led the Ghana delegation, including showbiz stars and the crème-de-la-crème in the creative arts industry, as they perfectly danced to Adowa tunes in the presence of the Asantehene and other VIPs.
Led by the minister, the Ghana contingent, made up of creative art stars and musicians, indeed electrified the place with their well-rehearsed performances.
