Alliance Française, + 233 Jazz Bar To host Jazz Festival

Live in Accra Jazz Festival will feature an array of local and foreign artistes on Friday, April 24 at +233 Jazz Bar and Grill with a performance by Freshly Ground, a group comprising musicians from Mozambique, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Ghanaian jazz musician, Big Wellington, together with the Maher Beauroy Trio from Martinique / USA, would mount the stage at the Alliance Française on Saturday, April 25 while the 251 Jazz Band from Accra would entertain fans also at the Alliance Française on Sunday April 26.

Drummer Frank Kissi, pianist Victor Dey and the Electric Band would storm +233 Jazz Bar & Grill on Tuesday, April 28. American composer, guitarist and music professor, Colter Harper, alongside US-based Ghanaian musician Alidu Mohammed and the Bizung Band would perform at the same venue on Thursday, April 30.

The Alliance Française would host a special international jazz day performance with the Ghanaian jazz musician Ruzika Okera also on Thursday April 30. Kwabena Kwabena, together with Becca would rock +233 Jazz Bar & Grill on Friday, May 1.

Living highlife legends, Pat Thomas and Ebo Taylor, would close the festival with a concert at the Alliance Française in Accra on Saturday May 2. A number of workshops, seminars and lectures equally form an integral part of the festival.

Institut Français (Ghana), Alliance Française, ATW, Jazz Ouaga, Ashesi University, +233 Jazz Bar & Grill, Goethe-Institut and Okera Inn are supporting Live in Accra Jazz Festival 2015.
