Aduana Stars have confirmed holding talks with midfielder Yahaya Mohammed over a possible move.

The former Kotoko attacker is back home as a free agent after terminating his contract with Libyan side, Al Ittihad Tripoli.

The Chief Executive Officer of the 2010 Ghanaian champions has confirmed opening negotiations with Yahaya but went silent on whether he could join them for second round of the FCPPL via the special dispensation rule.

The transfer window has been closed to players between clubs on the local scene but still open for Ghanaian players who are free agents and intend to return from abroad.

“It is true we are in talks with Yahaya,” Albert Commey said.

“We would like to get him and he has equally shown interest in joining Aduana. For now, we are only discussing possible figures and terms. Nothing is concluded yet.”

On their season targets, the Aduana CEO further went on to reveal plans to improve on their away record in the second round in order to boost their title chances.

“Our aim is to win all home matches and improve on our away matches. We got all 21 points at home in the first round but were poor on the road – with only a win against Olympics and a draw at Edubiase.

“We are working and talking to our players on the need to psyche themselves, on the need to get more points from away games. That will help us in winning the title,” he said.

Aduana amassed 25 points at the end of the FCPPL first round – 4 less than leaders AshantiGold.
