The Ajumako District police have arrested a 13-year-old boy, Jude Dadzie, for allegedly shooting two of his friends to death at Ajumako in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam (AEE) District of the Central Region.
The bodies of Patrick Okyere and Andrews Ntsiful, each 10 years old, have been deposited at the Central Regional Hospital for autopsy.
Briefing DAILY GUIDE, the District Police Commander, Chief Supt Prosper Ahlijah, said the incident happened around 1:30 pm on Friday, May 8, 2015, at Ajumako. He said his outfit had information that juvenile suspect Dadzie had used a single barrel gun belonging to his father, one Kwesi Aidoo, to kill his friends.
Chief Supt Alijah stated that the suspect was playing with the friends at the father’s compound when he immediately threatened to kill them.
The police officer hinted that the suspect, after threatening them, rushed to the father’s room to pick the gun and shot them.
He added that the two were rushed to the Ajumako District Hospital where they were pronounced death.
Meanwhile, the suspect’s father, Kwesi Aidoo, has also been arrested assisting in investigations.
