As part of activities marking her 25 years in the Ghanaian music industry, celebrated female highlife musician, Akosua Agyepong has organized a health walk and breast screening for participants.
The walk, which started from the Trade Fair Centre at La proceeded through the Military Hospital to Kanda and some principal streets of the capital.
Addressing the participants after the walk, the president of the National Sports For All, an NGO in sports, Nana Adu Mankatta II, called on Ghanaians to control their eating habits to stay healthy at all times.
Nana Mankatta charged Ghanaians to take active interest in keep fit exercises to ensure a healthy lifestyle.
Akosua Agyepong on her part said she added the breast screening to the walk to sensitize the public on the dangers of breast cancer, which she said, killed her mother at the age of 48.
She said she had started breast cancer sensitization campaigns in the country’s universities and expressed the hope that the campaign would be successful.
About 2,500 persons took part in the exercise, which was sponsored by Nestle Ghana Limited, Special Ice Mineral Water, Tobinco Pharmaceuticals, Union Oil Ghana Limited and Family Matters Energy Drink.
